For the fifth year, our Alper Serves program partnered with Chubb to prepare 50 Thanksgiving dinner boxes that benefited families from New Hope Center and SouthSTAR Services. Weinstein Meats generously donated a turkey to each family, and Chubb, as well as Alper, collected traditional Thanksgiving food items.
The holiday spirit extended into the following week as the Alper Team collected toys for the children of Leland Elementary School in the Austin neighborhood of Chicago. We were honored to make this our second year to support Weinstein Meats’ mission of bringing holiday cheer to 300 pre-school to 3rd graders at this school.
On November 7th, Lambs Farm brought the country to the city with their Harvesting the Spirit: Downtown on the Farm 2015 Annual Benefit. We are proud to have sponsored this evening and promote the Lambs’ mission of providing life-enriching opportunities for men and women with developmental disabilities.
Our Senior Vice President and Lambs Farm board member, Chris Breck, acted as the event chairman and spoke alongside Lambs Farm President and CEO, Dianne Yaconetti and Board of Directors Chairman, Robert Neiman. Over 300 guests had the pleasure of seeing a performance by the Lambs Farm Participant Theater cast of “Beauty and the Beast,” and enjoyed dinner and dancing.
