CHICAGO—August 24, 2011—After an eventful and healthy year of “Walk the Talk!” challenges, a “Biggest Loser” contest, and several “Lunch & Learn” sessions, Alper Services LLC is proud to have won a Gold WOWie (Wellness in the Workplace) award. Alper had previously been recognized as a Silver WOWie award-winner in 2010
Presented by the Illinois State Council of the Society of Human Resource Management (ISC-SHRM) and Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois (BCBSIL), the WOWie awards recognize companies that champion health and physical activity in the workplace. Alper Services was selected for a Silver award under the category of “Companies with Fewer than 200 Employees.”
“We are thrilled to receive this award,” said Cynthia Elstien, Alper Services’ Senior Vice President of Human Resources. “We strive to provide a fun and rewarding experience for our employees – a goal which includes investments in employee health.”
She continued, “When our employees engage in wellness activities, their health improves and productivity rises. We’re looking forward to continued wellness programs in 2012.”
