Firm voted “Reader’s Choice” among all brokers in the U.S. with brokerage revenues under $25 million.
CHICAGO—November 4, 2010—Alper Services LLC, a Chicago-based insurance services company, has been named “Best Broker” in the U.S. among brokers with revenues under $25 million by Business Insurance Magazine’s 2010 Reader’s Choice Awards.
The award marks the second consecutive year that readers have voted Alper Services as their number one broker of choice, and arrives after an already lengthy list of 2010 awards and achievements for the company.

2010 has been a prosperous, eventful year for Alper Services. In March, the company received a Silver WOWie (Wellness in the Workplace) Award for championing the health of its employees from the Illinois State Council of the Society of Human Resource Management and the Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois. Alper Services engages employees in a number of wellness events like “Walk the Talk!” challenges, “Lunch & Learn” sessions and a “Biggest Loser” contest.
Also in 2010, the company’s AuditRate Division’s findings of a $600,000 worker’s compensation overcharge for one Client was confirmed by the Illinois Department of Insurance. Finally, just last month, Alper Services received the Agency Hands in the Community grant from the Allstate Foundation for its commitment to volunteerism. Alper Services presented the $1,000 Hands in the Community grant to the Chicago Children’s Advocacy Center, where Gregg Elstien, Vice President of Alper Services’ Non-Profit Division, volunteers.
