Chicago Gateway Green Board of Directors elects four new members
CHICAGO – Chicago Gateway Green today announced that its Board of Directors elected four new members to help build on its ongoing efforts to green and beautify the Chicago region. The new board members are:
Chairman & CEO, Alper Services, LLC
Alper has built his insurance business over the span of four decades and has become a national expert in risk management. He is past chairman of the New Century Bank Advisory Board and a member of the Better Government Association Board of Directors. Alper is Vice Chairman of La Rabida Children’s Hospital Board of Trustees in Chicago, having served in various Board capacities and Committee Chairs since 1976.
Editor in Chief, Michigan Avenue Magazine
Negovan is editor in chief of Michigan Avenue magazine where she is charged with celebrating the best the Chicago region has to offer – from high-profile people to parties, as well as fine dining to celebrity dish. The magazine debuted on September 15 and is part of Niche Media, the same family of high-style publications that includes Ocean Drive, Gotham and L.A.Confidential. For nearly eight years, Susanna penned the column "Susannas Night Out" in the Chicago Sun-Times, and she is frequently featured on television as a trend and style expert. For more than two years, she also hosted her own talk radio show on WCKG-FM. Susanna is a graduate of NorthwesternUniversity's Medill School of Journalism.
Manager of New Business Development, Sales, Marketing and Interactive, NBC 5 Chicago
Oshita-Bajor is a veteran broadcast sales and marketing professional who came to NBC 5 Chicago in January 1999 from ESPN Radio as where she had worked as Local Sales Manager. Prior to ESPN, she spent more than nine years with the LOOP Radio (WLUP-FM 97.9) and AM 1000 (WMVP-AM), starting out as an Account Executive and moving to positions as Director of Chicago Blackhawks Sports Sales, Sales Manager and Local Sales Manager. Jody began her career at an advertising agency, Stern Walters/Earle Ludgin, Inc. where she served as Research Associate, Media Planner and Media Buyer. A native of Chicago, Jody attended the University of Illinois at Chicago and is active in the community, serving on various boards and committees including the Board of the Broadcast Advertising Club of Chicago, University of Chicago Cancer Research Foundation Women's Board, and the Japanese American Service Committee.

Siegel has owned his own industrial chemical and supply company since 1985 and currently spends his time working with City of Chicago Departments to green cleaning processes and procedures; specific departments include O'Hare International Airport, the Department of Streets and Sanitation, the Department of Fleet Management, and the Chicago Fire Department. Siegel is currently also serving as President of the Alumni Association and as a trustee of the Latin School of Chicago. Jeffrey previously served as chair of the Green Tie Ball in 1992 when it was held at the Merchandise Mart.
