Challenge
Buyer and seller of a large industrial plant needed to address environmental risks
in order to arrange the effective transfer
of property. The seller needed to provide appropriate protection to the buyer against known preexisting environmental risks and
the buyer needed to provide appropriate protection to the seller against new environmental exposures identified after
the sale. Securing effective coverage through the right carrier was challenging due to the complex nature of the risk and the unusually high levels of property contamination emanating from a variety of sources.

Action
After conducting an extensive review of all known preexisting risks, we assisted the buyer in arranging for appropriate remediation of those risks. We were then able to secure appropriate coverage to address the potential future risks the buyer would assume as part
of the sale.

Results
Enabling the successful sale and transfer of property from buyer to seller, we played an instrumental role in effectively managing their collective risks while securing their mutual long term interests.
