The happy hour was hosted at Bull & Bear in the River North neighborhood of Chicago were guests were treated to an open bar, appetizers and a lively cake presentation for Howard Alper’s birthday.
Congratulations to Team Saladdz for coming out on top of this year’s Alper Employee Challenge! It was an incredibly close competition, but in the end, Team Saladdz exhibited the top scores in competitions testing our leadership, communication and teamwork skills. On Thursday, February 19th, we launched the very first Alper Employee Challenge. The five-part series is designed to build teamwork, enhance communication and test our leadership skills. After dividing into teams and brainstorming some “creative” team names, fierce and friendly competition commenced with a scavenger hunt throughout our headquarters office. Team DJ Cab & the Fantastic E emerged victorious!

We celebrated a successful year with lots of laughs, a delicious lunch and a comical White Elephant last week at Gibsons Steakhouse. Two of our Team Members were recognized for their outstanding contributions to the growth and success of the Company in 2014.
Congratulations to Gregg Elstien – Producer of the Year and Norine Terry – Employee of the Year!
Also recognized for their significant achievements in new business production this year were Chris Breck and Ryan Holst. Anne Frank, Margo Lasser, Sharon Livas, Rich Swoik and Tina Xanos were applauded for their terrific work as well, and each was a nominee for Employee of the Year.
This was the fourth year that Alper collaborated with insurance carrier Chubb to prepare 52 Thanksgiving turkeys and dinner gift baskets to benefit families from local non-profits Orchard Village and New Hope Center. Thank you to Weinstein Meats for donating the turkeys and Chubb for the canned and boxed food items for the event.
